ORGANISATIONS
Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) is an original initiative by EIT Food that promotes entrepreneurship and leadership among women in the agrifood sector. In each of the 12 participating countries, the programme is implemented by local organisations committed to fostering innovation and development in the agrifood space, ensuring a direct and meaningful impact on their communities. Below is a list of these local organisations and partners, whose collaboration helps EWA achieve its goals year after year. These organisations are responsible for organising major events such as the Demo Days in each country, as well as the final event.
Varna (RAPIV), Bulgaria
Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovations - Varna (RAPIV) is a non -governmental non-for-profit organisation established in 2002 aiming to stimulate regional economy through the development of entrepreneurship and innovations. Its members include representatives of 4 types of organisations: central and local government, academic and scientific institutions, NGOs and businesses as well as physical persons.
SMION (LEAN STARTUP CROATIA), Croatia
Lean Startup Croatia, now transitioning to Smion, empowers entrepreneurs and cultivates innovative ecosystems that fuel growth. Specialising in developing tools, resources, and programmes for early-stage startup development, from idea validation to market access, Smion fosters collaboration, nurtures talent, and unlocks potential.
CATS2CATS Z.S., Czech Republic
Established in 2011, cats2cats z.s. is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting women in all aspects of their lives. Their motto, CATS (Creativity, Activity, Talent, Sharing), guides their mission to empower women through various programmes and initiatives. Whether it's through mentorship programmes, skill-building workshops, or networking events, they are committed to supporting women every step of the way.
AWOMANCANBE.ORG, Greece
“AWomanCanBe.org“ challenges the stereotypes and the established perceptions of women's roles. Empowering women and environmental sustainability are at the heart of their priorities. They strive for a sustainable world, where gender equality and the human rights of girls and women are guaranteed and implemented and they promote women as leaders and agents of change by supporting female inclusive initiatives that address the Global Sustainable Development Goals.
POZI NETWORK ZRT, Hungary
Pozi Network Zrt is an open innovation platform designed to assess and connect members of the startup ecosystem. POZI creates and organises innovation events and service packages for large companies. POZI brings structure to the messy processes of finding an idea, building a team, or launching a new product. Their goal is to support startups worldwide.
FUTURE FOOD INSTITUTE, Italy
Future Food Institute exists to make exponential positive change, to sustainably improve life on Earth, through education and innovation in the global food systems. By training the next generation of change-makers, empowering communities, and engaging government and industry in actionable innovation, Future Food catalyses progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
RIGA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, Latvia
Riga Technical University (RTU), founded in 1862, is a top institution in the Baltic States with 13,000+ students and a strong research team. Holding 91 Latvian patents, RTU excels in education, research, and innovation, consistently ranking high globally. The 2022-established RTU Science & Innovation Centre supports entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer. It aims to boost innovation and entrepreneurship, enhance knowledge transfer, and foster active engagement. RTU expanded its impact in 2023 by integrating two more universities.
AGRIFOOD LITHUANIA DIH, Lithuania
AgriFood Lithuania is a Digital Innovation Hub that brings together major research, business and public stakeholders in Lithuania for the common pursuit of digital transformations in the agriculture, food and associated sectors. The mission of AgriFood Lithuania DIH is to contribute towards achieving the vision outlined in the EU Declaration of ‘A smart and sustainable digital future for European agriculture and rural areas’ and strengthen the national and European technological infrastructure. The DIH links stakeholders with international and cross-sector initiatives to provide all-round support in the research, development and deployment of AgriFood Tech innovations.
DRIVE IMPACT, Portugal
Drive Impact is a cooperative created to promote environmental and social impact projects in the areas of soft mobility development; entrepreneurship and education; design and communication, to put impact entrepreneurship issues on the national agenda.
LOYOLA UNIVERSITY, A JESLOYOLA UNIVERSITY, Spain
This social initiative, is the first private university in Andalusia. It embodies the rich educational tradition of the Jesuits, striving to meet the needs of a changing world. Offering a unique academic experience through flexible, innovative programs in social sciences and technology, the university focuses on scientific research with significant social impact. With a global network of over 230 Jesuit institutions, Loyola forms students committed to societal well-being, providing an inclusive environment where hard work and the pursuit of excellence are valued.
IMPACT HUB ISTANBUL, Türkiye
Impact Hub Istanbul has been bringing together and supporting impactful individuals and organizations focused on social and environmental benefit through programmes, events and co-working space since 2016. In order for impact-oriented individuals and organisations to develop inclusive and sustainable solutions, Impact Hub Istanbul designs original content and methods for their needs, and create shared value by building collaboration processes.
LLC "Corporate Accelerators" (Radar Tech), Ukraine
Radar Tech, established in 2016 as Ukraine's first corporate accelerator, has led innovation programmes across diverse sectors including telecom, agriculture, fintech, energy, retail, metallurgy, healthcare, and logistics. With over 1000 applications and 250+ alumni, including 35% women, their programmes facilitate partnerships between startups and corporations. They organise diverse initiatives like acceleration programmes, hackathons, and workshops, engaging 50+ experts and 10+ mentors per program. With a strong network and marketing team, they've achieved a media reach of 10 million, all while bolstering the local startup ecosystem and reshaping corporate mindsets.

Social Ads is an agency committed to elevating and amplifying social causes through tailored marketing strategies.
But their mission goes beyond visibility, they also promote action through sustainable trainings and curated events.
Ensuring that meaningful initiatives not only get noticed but also drive tangible change. They are in charge of the organization and promotion of this year Women in Agrifood Stories Event.
